Braxton's First Christmas!

I cannot believe how much fun Christmas is with a child. Anthony and I had so much fun opening presents and celebrating Christmas with Braxton. Braxton woke up in an amazing mood and kept his great mood all day. His favorite Santa gift was his tummy time toy. He smiled and laughed!!!!!
It was the BEST Christmas gift ever!

We went to Anthony’s mother’s house and then my parents that day for dinner and gifts. Braxton loved all the presents he got from both families. By the end of the night we all were tired. It was such a perfect day! He is such a perfect boy!
Christmas Morning!
Braxton and Mommy! Bright and Early!

Braxton and Daddy!

He truly was happy! Santa picked a great gift!

We LOVE this picture! He was so happy Christmas day!

We had a late lunch with Anthony's Family and then headed to my parents for dinner!

Santa filled Braxton's stocking at his Gramy & Gramps House. By this time Braxton was ready for his nap!

YES! We did match! This was Anthony's Idea! I think it was the perfect outfit!

Christmas Photos

We went over to Gina's and took our family pictures! I love them! Braxton only tolerated the picture taking for about ten minutes before he cried. We ended up taking them in spurts! He did fine! We ended up with some really good stuff.
Braxton will be SEVEN weeks tomorrow! He is getting sooo BIG! We go to the doctor on Monday for his two month check up. I am sure he has grew a few more inches and gained another pound or so. It's hard to tell in the pictures, but he is long and skinny. Braxton LOVES his Daddy. They cannot get enough of each other. I must admit it makes me a little jealous. The good part is after a long day with Braxton it is nice when Anthony gets home. Anthony doesn't put him down. The two of them are both happy and I can have some Nicole time.

Merry Christmas!

Ho Ho Ho!

We took Braxton to the mall today to do have our family pictures done and some Christmas pictures of Braxton done. I just prefer Gina's style and ended up not buying a family photo at all. They were just so cheesy with the fake backgrounds. I called Gina on my out of the studio to book us another session.
Since Braxton was looking so CUTE we had his picture with Santa. Braxton did not want to wake up. Santa improvised and we got this adorable picture. It was worth waiting in line to see Santa! Check back again soon I promise to have posted our Christmas family photo.

ONE MONTH OLD!

Oh how we LOVE this boy!

WOW! I cannot believe that Braxton is a MONTH OLD! We have adjusted to life as parents and are LOVING it. He really is an easy baby considering he has acid reflux and gas issues. He is on medication for his reflux so that is under control. He is getting big fast.

You all have to agree he is one cute kid!

Thank you to everyone who brought us dinner the first month. It truly was a blessing. Also, thanks to Sara Allen for the cute Christmas outfit. He wore that outfit when we went Christmas tree shopping. The picture of him is at home because it was to cold to take pictures with the trees.

Hope all of you have a Merry Christmas!

Braxton's First Few Days

Meet Braxton Anthony Hernandez.

Born 10/30/08 at 6:18pm, 7.8 pounds & 19 in long.

HaPpY HaLlOwEeN! 10/31/08
We decided to tick or treat the nurses that took care of us Halloween night as well as every other night we were there. They loved we dressed Braxton up. Other couples came out of their rooms to see the cute bunny! These wonderful ladies were our night time nurses. The lady on the left Ethel helped teach Braxton to breastfeed. She was so nice and really worked with the two of us for hours each evening. The lady in the middle Lori was there throught the horrible 3 hours of pushing before the c-section. She loved to come in and see the fruits of my labor. She really loved just visting with Braxton. The lady on the right Norma was more all about the recovery of me. She made sure my pain was under control and I had everything I needed. She did take care of Braxton as well but she really was about making me comfortable. WE APPRECIATED EACH OF THEM!

We tried to get a cute picture of Payton and Braxton in their costumes. Payton wanted to trick or treat more than pose for pictures. I thought this picture is funny because Braxton nicely lays there while Payton screams. It is just a matter of time before this sweet child of ours turns 2!
Here is a happier picture of the cutest Mickey Mouse ever!

Aunt Candace went and found a Halloween Costume of Braxton. She found an adorable bunny suit. With Braxton's golden skin this outfit was just perfect. Seeing my baby boy in this costume took my breath away! (For some reason it would not let me put the rotated pic up)

Braxton First UT Tailgate Party 11/01/08
Candace and Payton came by to "tailgate" with us. Greg and my mom came by as well. We had wings and watched the game. This was the first of many UT games Braxton will watch with his father.

Our FIRST Family Photo! I would have prefered something more formal or not football based! Either way it is a moment to treasure!

Braxton showing his Longhorn pride!

WE FINALLY GET TO HEAD HOME SUNDAY 11/2/08

Daddy puts Braxton into the car t0 head home!

Braxton liked the car ride home.

Scout meets Braxton!
Kramer Finally decided to meet Braxton! Scout could not STOP sniffing and licking him.

Bell Shots By Gina

I love the work Gina does because pictures taken by her are more art than just a random picture. Last weekend she came over the house to take some belly shots for me that I could keep and even hang in our bedroom. We had so much fun with it. She had many great ideas to capture my HUGE belly and the miracle of pregnancy. She truly did a fabulous job! I thought I would share them with those of you that haven't seen me lately. Enjoy!
ONLY A FEW WEEKS UNTIL BRAXTON IS HERE!

Braxton's Room

Braxton's room is almost complete. We had the room painted a month or so ago. I found the letters I wanted to use for his name but they never had an N. I went back week after week. Finally they had the N but in pink. Since I was painting them I bought the pink! Luckily you cannot tell. His clothes are washed and in his drawers, the curtains are hung and his hospital bag is packed. We still need a few final touched to left like hanging pictures and washing his bedding.
We bought this monitor that also has a motion senor that goes under the mattress. If Braxton stops breathing for 10 seconds an alarm sounds. We wanted to try it out so we put Kramer in the crib. The problem was he wouldn't stay on top of the sensor. I thought he looked cute so I had to snap a picture. The funny part is that Kramer is sure we are putting together this room for him. He is such a DIVA! His world is going to be turned upside down when Braxton gets here.
We went to the Doctor last week for my semi-weekly visit. I asked my AWESOME obgyn to do a 3D ultrasound for us. She has tried in the past, but was unsuccessful because he didn't have enough fat on his face At the visit she said yes and we need to do it know because soon there will not be enough fluid to get the image. Well.........Braxton being the toot he always is to the doctor once again showed he was in control. He put his hand over his face and wiggled his fingers. He moved his fingers away from one eye. He also sucked on a few of those fingers. We didn't get the image we wanted. We did get good news that he is growing at the right pace and is healthy. We also thought that he would be a tiny boy since my mother has small babies. Braxton will more than likely be a 8 pound or so baby boy! Sounds average but David and Greg were large 5 pound babies and Rich and I were just over 7 pounds.
The count down is on his due date is just a short 5 weeks away!
